Switchgrass Construction Advisors is providing Owner’s Representation services for USD 475’s Fort Riley Middle School HVAC Conversion and Light Upgrades Project. The approximately 180,000-square-foot facility is undergoing a comprehensive improvement that converts its existing Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system to a high-performance Water Source Heat Pump (WSHP) system. The work includes removal of outdated VRF infrastructure, installation of energy-efficient WSHP equipment, integration with the building’s mechanical and control systems, and select lighting upgrades to enhance energy performance. By improving system reliability, occupant comfort, and long-term efficiency, this project advances the district’s goals for sustainability, operational excellence, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
